NCFC Meeting January 2013
The meeting began with a presentation by Dr. Andy Heckert from the Department of Geology at Appalachian State University. He discussed his work, A Diverse New Microvertebrate Assemblage from the Upper Triassic Formation of North Carolina. Dr Andy Heckert is a vertebrate paleontologist with predominately geological training. His primary focus has been on the Upper Triassic strata of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and now North Carolina. Following the presentation, a short business meeting led by President Linda McCall was held. As always, the meeting was closed out with a raffle with items donated by different club members. Again, James Bain was very generous with his collection.
