NCFC Meeting September 2013

The NCFC held their September 2013 meeting at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences.  Vince Schneider from the Museum talked about "A Dinosaur Named Nancy Takes Up Residence in NC".  "Nancy" is a Duck Bill dinosaur and was found in southeast Montana by the University of Wisconsin.  In 2006, the University offered the NC Museum of Sciences the opportunity to dig Nancy.  Nancy ended up being a fully articulated skeleton. Vince Schneider led the crew from the museum that ended up recovering about 85% of the skeleton.  Great finds included skin impressions and one of the best Duck Bill skulls found.
