Ruffin Tucker's Slabs

Wed, 10/16/2013

There is a very nice write-up on Ruffin Tucker's Endiacaran Fossil Slab on the NC Museum of Natural Sciences Research and Collections blog.  Ruffin’s slab is now on display in the Nature Research Center on the third floor. The updated blogs are added to the Connect! page.  The forms on the slab had originally been interpreted as feeding traces, but are now believed to be tube organisms knocked down by current.
